Our Personal God

Pearls from Above
I received a prayer request saying, I know this is an unorthodox request, but please pray for my little dog, she is hurting and screams every time she gets up on her feet. I told this person that I would be praying for their dog.
And the next day, they sent me an update and said, I just wanted to send a praise report. My dog is feeling much better. She is running around and playing again, and I can’t even keep up with her, for the past two weeks she would scream with pain every time she got up, but today, she is fine.
I thanked God for touching their dog, and my mind went back to the word of God, where Jesus said the birds of the air don’t plant and grow their own food, yet the Father feeds them, and he knows every sparrow that falls to the ground, so how much more precious are you to him?
Jesus said, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive it.
If God cares about sparrows, and lilies of the fields, and puppies in pain, and named every starin the sky, and he knew just how much salt to put in the ocean to sustain marine life, How much more will he take care of us? Don’t ever feel like something sounds too silly to ask God for.
There’s people who believe that God isn’t involved in men’s lives. They are called Deist.
He created heaven and earth, set it in motion, and then just stepped back and basically said Y’all handle it, and others say, there’s no use in praying, because God isn’t involved in what is going on down here on earth, or God does whatever his will is, so praying is vain.
But that isn’t the case, He’s a very present help in trouble. His goodness and mercy follows us daily. His mercies and compassions are new every morning.
Jesus said, we can’t even add a cubit to our height. That is 18 inches. And we know that this is impossible for man. But Jesus also says, there is NOTHING impossible with God!
God is such a personal Father, that he even knows how many hairs are on our head, they are all numbered.
David said in Psalm 139, paraphrasing this chapter:
V.1. God has searched me, and knows me,
V.2-5. He knows when I sit down, and when I get up, he knows my thoughts, he knows what I’m gonna say, he has laid his hand on me and put a hedge about me.
V. 7-10. Where can I go to hide from your presence?
If I ascend in heaven, you are there, if I go to the grave, you are there, if I go to the sea, your hand will still lead me and hold me.
V.13. You formed my inward parts, and wove me together in my mothers womb.
V.16. You seen me before I was born, and in your book is written all my days, how many birthdays I’m gonna have, how long I’m gonna live, you knew this even before I was born.
V.17. How precious are your thoughts towards me, how vast is the sum of them. (There’s too many to count).
18. And If I tried to count them, they would outnumber the sand.
V.23-24. David ends his prayer with the same words as the beginning,
Search me and know my heart and thoughts, v.1 you have searched me, but continue to do it and see if anything wicked pops up in me.
Does this sound like an impersonal Father? Someone who isn’t involved in our lives?
Psalm 33:18-20; Behold, the eye of the Lord is up on them that fear him, on them that hope in his mercy. To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord, he is our help and our shield.
John 5:17; when Jesus was being persecuted for working on the sabbath, he replied, My Father works hitherto, so I work.Romans 8:28; What is the Father working on? Paul said, We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
God is working on us and for us.
2 Peter 3:9; The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count, slackness, but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Yes, GOD is involved in the lives of men.
He’s long suffering, not wanting anyone to perish in the flames of Hell, but to come to repentance.
Yes, He is involved in the anffairs of this world. He sets up kingdoms and brings them down. He works all things according to his plan.
Yes, He answers prayers, and cares about the smallest of his creation. There is a puppy able to run around and play that is proof of it.
God bless
