Come and see
Sis. Mary Pettit

Come: to follow, approach, to get near, to proceed. It is an invitation.
Jesus gives an invitation many times throughout His ministry and He still is today.
James 4:8; says Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. When He says come and see, or follow me, or let them come unto me, He is inviting you to get near Him, get close to Him.
After the fall in the garden and before Jesus died on the cross, there was a veil that separated us from God.
Hebrews 9:1-9 says that in the temple a veil separated the Holy of Holies where God dwelt from the rest of us.
The veil was a constant reminder that sin makes humanity unfit for the presence of God. When Jesus died on the cross that veil was torn and through His death, he removed barriers between God and man. Jesus invites us to come to Him. He can get all of the sin out that would keep us from being able to enter into His kingdom.
He has made a way for us. He says I am the way.
IF YOU NEED REST FROM TROUBLES, COME.
Matthew 11:28 - Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.
IF YOU NEED HEALING, COME.
Matthew 9:27-30; As Jesus went on from there, two men who were blind followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” And after He entered the house, the men who were blind came up to Him, Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “it shall be done for you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus warned them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”
IF YOU ARE BROKENHEARTED, COME.
Psalm 34:18 says the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Instead of turning away from God, turn to Him. That is what the enemy wants you to do. We will not understand everything, but He does. He is the one that can heal a broken heart, comfort and bring peace. Just come!
JESUS SAYS COME, STEP OUT IN FAITH.
Matthew 14:29; And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.
JESUS SAYS LET THE CHILDREN COME.
Matthew 19:14; children were trying to approach Jesus, and tells the people around Him that were trying to stop the children, Leave the children alone, and do not forbid them to come to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
Matthew 7:14; FOLLOWING JESUS GETS YOU THROUGH A NARROW GATE.
For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
John 4; There was a woman of Samaria, who encountered Jesus at a well, an ended up leaving her water pot, and went into the city, and said to the people, v.29. COME, see a Man who told me all the things that I have done; is not this the Christ?
JESUS SAID COME AND EAT.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 22:17; the Spirit and Bride say, Come. And let the one who is thirsty come, the one who desires to drink of the living water, come. V. 20. Surely I am coming soon. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Come to Jesus and see for yourself how good He is.
