Psalm 5:11-12; But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice, let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them, let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD will bless the righteous, with favor will thou compass him as with a shield.
With favor, the LORD surround you!
What is favor? It’s good will, delight, it’s the will of God to give you good things, to give you peace, protection, mercy, good gifts.
It’s grace, the grace, or graciousness of God that gives us salvation, that delivers and rescues us from the snares of the enemy. It’s Gods grace that pardons us from all sin, that called us out of darkness, into his marvelous light.
Psalm 84:11-12; For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in thee.
Having FAVOR with God does not mean you won’t ever have a bad day, or that the gates of hell will never attack you.
FAVOR with God, does not mean that all you’re problems will magically disappear.
You will still get sick at times, have heartaches, sorrow, aches and pains, get bruised and hurt.
FAVOR with God doesn’t mean that everything will be roses, minus the thorns .
Or you won’t face discouragement or oppression.
There will still be times when you won’t hear the voice of the LORD, or the heavens seem silent.
There will be times when we feel his presence, and times we don’t, But his face is still shining on us.
FAVOR with God means he’s got his hands on you, and will be your protector. And when he sees you struggling, he will reach for you. When he hears the cry of your heart, he will come speedily to you. When it feels like your going under for the third time, he will grab hold of you and pull you to safety and get you back in the boat.
Whatever situation you are in, he sees it, he knows it. He’s working ALL things for your good!
FAVOR with God is the assurance that he’s going to help you, and he’s going to be there for you even when your mind is in turmoil, when your family is in chaos, when your emotions are like a roller coaster, and life is hitting hard.
Let all those that put their trust in God, rejoice, and shout for joy, for he is truly our shield.
